The Revolution!

The Nintendo Revolution is the sytem that will be realesed as Nintendo's next consol!

Revolution will play 12cm (DVD) discs (and GameCube software, too). Added attachment can be used to play movies and other DVD content. Machine has 512 MB of onboard flash memory for data storage.

Sophisticated Design.
The new console is approximately the size of three standard DVD cases stacked together, and it was displayed in a variety of prototype colors at E3. The console will come with a sleek silver stand allowing it to be displayed vertically or horizontally.

Backward Compatibility.
Revolution will play all of your favorite Nintendo GameCube games. An innovative self-loading media bay will play both 12-centimeter optical discs used for the new system as well as Nintendo GameCube discs. You can also equip a small, self-contained attachment to play movies and other DVD content.
Huge Historic Library. Revolution will have downloadable access to 20 years of fan-favorite titles originally released for Nintendo 64, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and even the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

Big Names.
Nintendo announced that new franchise properties will be added to current super-star franchises including Mario, Zelda, Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong and Metroid

Wi-Fi Freedom.
A worldwide network of Nintendo players can gather to compete in a comfortable, inviting environment using Nintendo's newly announced wireless gaming service, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Now lets see PS3 and the 360 do that. HA!

and for the record, how many times does nintendo think they can recycle mario, donkey kong, zelda, metroid, and sell consoles??? Ive said it a million times on here and I will say it again... Nintendo is dead...

As long as people are buying them and they have the fan base that they have. That's how long.

wow that's great news! i'm a big nintendo fan, but i was kinda disappointed with the game cube console so i never bought one.. i hope this one would turn out better. i think games like mario, zelda, super smash bros., etc. will always be there coz those are like nintendo's signature games.. to me it's fine as long as they keep on improvin and makin them better.

dosent anyone think that nintendo games are a bit childish, i used to like them but i think they are designed for 7 year olds.

Nintendo games aren't childish. They just aren't goery like PS2 and X-box games are.

I read from an article when searchin google, that when asked about the specs of the new console, this is what the president of nintendo had to say...

i think they're not gona focus on graphics and processing power, basing it from the guy's statement.. there's nothing wrong with that and i think he has a point, but i sure do hope they can pull a good one up their sleeves.. coz for a lot of people graphics and raw power is everything.. but if anyone can do it, i'm sure nintendo is one of em

Graphics and raw power mean nothing, it is all about the games. I will buy an xbox 360 for Halo 3, and I will buy a Nintendo revolution for Zelda. I'm not however going to buy a PS3. Not any games I specifically like that sony comes out with. Hardware is not important, the expierance and games is what matters

Yea... Graphics and power are not everything.... but if they don't need to upgrade that, why don't they focus on thier current system, and make some descent games for it!

Because in about a year or so, the GC wont matter as much.
