I found this neat software thats really small (only 77kb) and it

• scans your memory slots
• If your memory slots are full it notifies you, and tells you how to deal with it
• Finds the best RAM for your computer, guaranteed to work
• reports the price and shows where you can buy it

It's really useful, takes all uncertainty out of the process.
