Do you think if you put 2000 DDR RAM in a Pc do you think it will cope?

2000 DDR RAM - Speed for the Computer.

I beleive that would be 2048? Wouldn't that be the next step? 2048 = 2 GB. As long as your motherboard supports up to 2GB or more ram, it will work great! The more RAM the better!

Or are you spec'ing out a speed (2000) or are you possibly referring to DDR2 memory?

Also, if you are talking about 2048MB of RAM, or 2GB, you also need to make sure what the largest DIMM each slot will take is. For example, your board may max out at 3GB, but you have three slots, each slot can take only 1GB at most, and so you could not put a 2GB chip into a slot that only sees 1GB max.

You Get:

128 DDR RAM
256 DDR RAM
512 DDR RAM
1024 DDR RAM

What I am saying would it muck up the Computer if you put in 2000 DDR RAM

read alan's post above. your board MUST support 2 gigs of ram and you need to move it over the bays on their max size. so if your board has 2 bays for ram 1 gig chip per bay. 4 would be 1 512mb chip per bay. does this answer your question?

Ok tard i did say check out alan's post then added my open info. alan DID talk about maxing out your mobo's ram so i'll leave it up to you to figure out if it does or not.

To summarize... If you board will support 2 gigs of ram (2048 megs, not 2000 megs) then it should work. If the board can handle it, the computer can handle a lot more than that! I know someone that has a music server, using 3 GB or 3072 MB of RAM! The more ram you have, the better everything will run!
