Hey there guys,

I just finished installing the game planetside and patching it (took a good hour), and when i start it up, everything is fine until i get to the video at startup. It lags very badly there, it goes one section of the video every 5 seconds... Ive let it go for about 5 minutes and it still goes... I have the la-*test*-('") drivers from NVidia, and all my specs exceed the requirements. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as im now wasting money not being able to play.

Heres my specs:
CPU: Athlon 3000+, 2.17 GHZ
VID CARD: Nvidia FX5700, 256 MB
CD ROM: 48x ( i think, its some high number like that )
RAM: 768 mb ddr

Minimum Specs:
PentiumĀ® III 1.0 GHz or greater
256 MB RAM
Direct3D compliant video card with 32MB RAM *
DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
56k + Internet connection
4X speed CD-ROM
3.25 GB hard drive space
DirectX 8.1 or greater

So it should run completely fine, right?

I just did a fresh install of the newest Nvidia drivers from the nvidia site, before that i was running Omega drivers. I dont get it, i posted on THIER tech forums about 2 hours ago, still no reponse... This is a p2p game, so my money is going down the drain every second that i spend not playing it.

Can ANYONE help me!?

That * look at the bottom, and it most likely lists a bunch of compatible video cards. Your Card might not be supported.

Also did you restart your computer after you installed?

If nothing else works, it could have been a bad install, and you might have to reinstall.

Make sure your not running ianything int he backround when installing programs.

Other thaty that I'm stumped.
