Norton is a good program but uses a lot of system resources sad.gif

Viruses can still get through whether you use Norton, AVG or whatever AV. Its all about how you use the internet and what you download.

Anways, I uninstalled my Norton AV coz the amount of the system resources it used that slows the system down. So, I switched to AVG Free which runs much faster and is safe to say a better AV scanner tongue.gif

I just wanna say that nortorn virus does NOT work, that program sucks, I had 7 viruses about two months ago, and nortorn wouldn't detect it. My messangers were slow and almost everything, it was pretty obvious I had a virus. So, the best software out there is AVG, it's what I unleashed and saved my computer with, it's a reeeeeally good software smile.gif

DarkBlood

AGE Antivirus can dectect more virus and doesn't take up room and its free.thats what i use

Are norton and AVG compatible together?

Norton seems to do good for me, Update defs weekly and scan atleast 1 time a week. I am also using Adware se and follow the same updates and scans weekly. I am always getting the popups from norton warning of remote systems access gets bothersome at times, but I like it that way. blink.gif

I think any virus detector needs updating weekly and scanned if not...llamatronics/crash.gif
but you know that already.

oh yeah I ditched IE long ago for FIREFOX.... that cleared lots of problems up..

I think they are compatible although you shouldn't have two Anti-Virus softwares installed on one computer.
